Description:
The Pennsy Juniata Shops in Altoona, PA, built this 4-4-2 steam locomotive in July of 1914 (serial #2850, class E6s). The loco lasted until being scrapped in September of 1952 after serving about 38 years. J.R. Quinn was the photographer for this photo.

Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Ocean City, New Jersey, in August of 1941. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1694, an E-6S "Atlantic" built in Juniata during July of 1914 and retired in September of 1952 after 38 years of faithful service. Harold K.
