Description:
Here is page two of a 12-page camera study entitled "Horseshoe Curve Pictorial." It was published originally in the Winter 2004 issue of "The Keystone" magazine, page 28. Bottom Photo Caption: "Tripleheader Atlantics, westbound with a passenger train, led by E-3d #3002 (Juniata, c/n 1427, 01/06), circa 1907." PRR engine #3002 is an E-3D (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as an E-3D in 1906, renumbered "4172" in April of 1913, rebuilt as an E-3SD in May of 1916, and retired in August of 1930.
