Nickel Plate 2-8-2 Mikado #507 was built by Lima in March of 1917. It was equipped with ATS in May of 1926. In December of 1955, it was renumbered to 954. In May of 1958, it was stored at Bellevue, OH yard. Subsequently it was dropped from the roster in August of 1960 and finally sold for scrap in October of 1963 to the Luntz Iron & Steel Company. Specs - serial #5435, class H-5a, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 25x32" cylinders, engine wt of 287,000 lb and tractive effort of 48,600 lb. This is a Prescott photo. |
