Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5505, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built in Juniata during December of 1945 and retired in March of 1953 after just eight years of revenue service.

Photo Caption: "PRR's first E7's on 'Duquesne' at Rockville in May 1948. Bert Pennypacker." Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5901 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5901 was constructed in September of 1945 and is presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.
